Despite its many treasured and memorable passages, such as Psalm 23 and Isaiah 53, many Christians regard much of the Old Testament as more of a hindrance than a help to their faith.
Many of its stories seem violent, distasteful, or simply strange.
In this series, we will look at four of these stories, being honest about what they contain while also showing how, through these very characteristics rather than in spite of them, they point us toward Jesus.
