Our Mission Partners
Our support for mission across Britain and the rest of the world is coordinated through our Mission Support Group, currently chaired by Nathan Larkin. This is partly expressed through support for the following Organisations and Mission Partners…
The Lunchbowl Network The Lunchbowl Network was set up in 2006 with a desire to respond to the plight of the orphaned and vulnerable children living in a slum called Kibera in Nairobi, Kenya with the hope and love of God. Since then they have run a dinner programme for 450 orphaned and vulnerable children, opened 2 kindergartens and now run a primary school. These children endure the harsh reality of life in Kibera including lack of access to clean water, very poor sanitation compounded by an inadequate education that causes them to be severely disadvantaged. The children in the programme have been selected because of their vulnerability and high need and they rely upon the nutrition that is provided daily by The Lunchbowl Network. |

Phil and Susanne (Arab World Media) Having been commissioned at Christ Church in 1998 to work in the Middle East, Phil and Susanne spent 10 years in the Arabian Peninsula. Over that time they set up an Arabic language institute and Phil completed studying for an MBA. These areas of work and the challenge of raising a family gave them many opportunities to share life with local people as God worked through them. In 2010 they moved back to the UK to work in the mission’s Media arm in Worthing. Phil oversees the IT, finance, HR and facilities departments of Arab World Media which uses mainly internet and social media such as Facebook and Twitter to reach Muslims of the Arab World and to share resources to allow people to enquire about Christianity in otherwise restricted conditions. |

The Bible Project The Bible Project is a non-profit animation studio that produces short-form, fully animated videos to make the biblical story accessible to everyone, everywhere. They create 100% free videos, podcasts, and resources to help people experience the story of the Bible. Their resources help people experience the Bible in a way that is approachable, engaging, and transformative. They do this by showcasing the literary art of the Scriptures and tracing the themes found in them from beginning to end. From page one to the final word, they believe the Bible is a unified story that leads to Jesus. This diverse collection of ancient books overflows with wisdom for our modern world. As we let the biblical story speak for itself, they believe that the message of Jesus will transform individuals and entire communities. |

A Rocha A Rocha are a Christian organization engaging communities in nature conservation. They work with individuals and communities, encouraging them to think about their use of the environment and develop practical ways to care for people and the planet, locally and globally. As well as a number of local conservation projects and partnerships, A Rocha UK continues to work at Minet Country Park, which was inspired, developed and launched in partnership with the London Borough of Hillingdon. Minet now hosts a science-based internship programme, bird ringing, and habitat management work. To date, more than 5,000 children have visited the park for A Rocha UK eco-education events. Building on this experience, work has also started to transform a second urban site – Wolf Fields, in Norwood Green – into a haven for local wildlife and people, including a community orchard, allotments, a pond, bee hives and a sensory garden. |
